Singapore Pavilion curator and project manager withdraw from 57th Venice Biennale
June Yap and Neo Kim Seng have withdrawn from their roles as curator and project manager for the Singapore Pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale. The National Arts Council of Singapore announced their departure, citing operational differences within the project team. Zai Kuning's installation remains scheduled for presentation at the pavilion. Yap previously curated Singapore's 2011 Venice Biennale presentation featuring Ho Tzu Nyen's video work The Cloud of Unknowing. NAC director Low Eng Teong confirmed the pavilion's opening remains on schedule despite the personnel changes occurring five months before the event. The decision was described as mutually agreed upon by all team members.
