Singapore Biennale and Satellite Exhibitions Offer Diverse Artistic Perspectives in November 2019
The seventh edition of the Singapore Biennale, titled 'Every Step in the Right Direction', showcases the work of 77 artists and collectives, under the curation of Patrick Flores, across 11 different venues, encouraging contemplation on ethical actions. Satellite exhibitions are set to launch in November. At Deck, 'Gap: A Distinct To Reality' features four Thai photographers and runs until 22 January 2020. The ArtScience Museum will present '2219: Futures Imagined' from 23 November to 5 April, imagining Singapore two centuries into the future. Fost Gallery will exhibit 'Discrete Encoding', curated by Khim Ong, from 23 November to 29 December. The Asian Civilisations Museum will host 'Living With Ink: The Collection of Tan Tsze Chor' from 8 November to 22 March, while The Substation's SADBAR will feature 'Rules of Engagement' during the opening weekend of the Biennale.
