festival-fair · 2026-04-27

Simposio n.1, part of the Together/insieme project by Erpac – Ente Regionale Patrimonio Culturale del Friuli Venezia Giulia, aims to map contemporary art activities in the region and strengthen visual arts' social and cultural role. Curated by art critic Daniele Capra, the symposium addresses the fragmentation of the art system post-pandemic through public talks and debates. Eighteen prominent figures will speak over two days, including Giulia Bianfore (director of Studio G/ in Bologna), Pavla Jarc (director of Kulturni Dom in Nova Gorica, Slovenia), artist Maria Elisabetta Novello, Branka Bencic (director of MMSU – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka, Croatia), artists Isabella Pers and Michele Spanghero, curators Francesca Agostinelli and Sonia Belfiore, gallerist Michela Rizzo (founder of Galleria Rizzo), and collector Gino Colla. The symposium also involves professionals from Veneto, Trentino, Slovenia, and Croatia. A concluding exhibition featuring works by under-30 artists from Friuli will be on view until September 30 at Musei di Borgo Castello in Gorizia. This is the first of a series of meetings planned in the coming months.
