Simone Bellotti Appointed Creative Director of Jil Sander

Simone Bellotti has been named creative director of Jil Sander, succeeding Lucie and Luke Meier. Bellotti, born in 1978 in Giussano, Italy, began his career in 2001 as an assistant at Gianfranco Ferré, later working at Bottega Veneta, Dolce&Gabbana, and Gucci (2007–2022) under Frida Giannini and Alessandro Michele. He joined Bally in 2022 as design director and was promoted to creative director within a year, where he revitalized the brand with cult items like the Plume boat shoe. His debut collection for Jil Sander will be presented in September 2025 during Milan Fashion Week Women's Spring/Summer 2026. The appointment reflects Jil Sander's focus on minimalist sophistication and detail, aligning with Bellotti's expertise in tailoring and materiality.
