architecture-design · 2026-05-18

Simon Kim has opened Bar Chimera, a three-pronged bar at 550 Madison Avenue in New York, designed by Rockwell Group. The venue features a wine bar, a martini bar with proprietary remineralized water, and a wood-clad whiskey bar with a sliding library ladder. A neon work by London-based artist Martin Creed illuminates the space. The bar offers a curated menu called 'Dinner at Chimera' with shareable plates.
