Simon Dee: Street Art Meets NFTs in NoCap Collection

Simon Dee, a pseudonymous artistic project born in 2017 from a former member of the TDK Crew, one of Italy's most important graffiti communities, bridges street art and digital art through NFTs. The project emerged from a personal crisis in July 2017 when the artist began posting daily small graffiti on paper to Instagram. Collaborating with a co-creator, Simon Dee adopted digital painting software, gaining social media popularity. In 2021, Simon Dee entered the crypto art space, creating two NFT collections: NoCap (100 collectible tokens featuring the NY Fat Cap, minted on Rarible) and NoCap's Adventure (story-driven NFTs on Foundation.app). NoCap tokens are created in collaboration with street artists worldwide; 84 of 100 have been minted, 78 collected. NoCap's Adventure follows a digital vandal in a colorless world, with the first piece already sold. Simon Dee describes the project as a way to break routine and explore multiple artistic paths, blending graffiti with pop culture elements. The project transforms graffiti creation into viral artistic content, anticipating the shift from static images to video on social media.
