Silvia Mariotti's 'Anime di Cristallo' Explores Organic-Inorganic Fusion in Lisbon

exhibition · 2026-04-26

Silvia Mariotti, an Italian artist born in 1980 in Fano, has initiated 'Anime di Cristallo,' a two-year endeavor that investigates the interplay between organic and inorganic substances as well as nature's response to human impact. Drawing inspiration from Ernst Haeckel (1834–1919) and reimagined through Laura Tripaldi (born 1993 in Varese), this project is organized by Associazione Karussell and receives backing from the DGCC of the Italian Ministry of Culture. The inaugural exhibition, curated by Sofia Marçal, commenced on January 16 at the Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência in Lisbon. The project also features a residency in the Azores from May to June, an autumn exhibition at IAC in Terceira Island, a third exhibition in March 2026, and a concluding exhibition in summer 2026 at MACTE.
