Silvia Margaria's 'Dispersione' at Cubo Unipol in Bologna
Silvia Margaria, born in 1985 and winner of the 2019 Arteam Cup, presents her solo exhibition 'Dispersione' at Museo d’Impresa Cubo di Unipol in Bologna. The show documents her solitary walks along the Via del Sale in the Maritime Alps, where she collects objects left by travelers and leaves traces of her own passage. The centerpiece is 'Dispersione' (2017), a series of black-and-white photographic prints on cotton paper that capture the mountain environment. Margaria's work reflects on walking as a gentle rebellion against modern speed, echoing French anthropologist David Le Breton's ideas from 'Il Mondo a Piedi' (Feltrinelli, 2013). The exhibition also includes 'Prossimo', a collective work created for the Giardini di Porta Europa in Bologna, inviting viewers to join a guided walk with the artist and curator Alice Zannoni on September 7, 2021.
