Silvia Listorti's 'Clinamen' at Studio G7 in Bologna
Silvia Listorti's first solo exhibition 'Clinamen' opened at Galleria Studio G7 in Bologna, featuring five new works exploring the body and matter through Epicurean physics. The show includes sculptures in glass, terracotta, and drawings on rice paper. The glass sculpture 'Alle spalle, la notte' (2024) uses lost-wax casting, a technique typical for bronze, and is a cast of the artist's shoulders inspired by Christine Lavant's poetry. 'Se le orecchie vedono e gli occhi ascoltano' (2023) is a terracotta cube with an ear shape, its title from a Japanese haiku. 'Sovrapposizione' (2023) uses rice paper with pure pigments and graphite applied horizontally, echoing shodo calligraphy. The exhibition's title references the Epicurean concept of clinamen, where atoms deviate from vertical paths to form new bodies. The show is accompanied by a text by Federico Ferrari.
