Silvia Camporesi's Lockdown Photography at Other Size Gallery

Silvia Camporesi's series 'Domestica', created during the 2020 lockdown, is on view at Other Size Gallery in Milan until March 4. Curated by Claudio Composti, the exhibition transforms the gallery into a recreated home using tape on the floor to outline rooms, reflecting the claustrophobic repetition of pandemic days. Camporesi's photographs, accompanied by a diary published by Postcart, capture domestic scenes where everyday objects become fantastical: a map becomes a puzzle, a chipped wall turns into a sea with islands, leftovers form a smile. The work, rooted in Camporesi's practice of imagination as a means to transcend reality, turns personal family experience into a universal narrative. The gallery is part of the broader Workess concept, which includes a restaurant, coworking spaces, a medical wellness center, and the 10Keys boutique hotel, managed by Paul Feakes, integrating art into a fluid space for work, stay, and events.
