Silvia Bächli's Fragmented Worlds at Centre Pompidou

exhibition · 2026-04-23

From November 7, 2007, until January 7, 2008, Silvia Bächli presents her exhibition 'Une anatomie du monde' at the Galerie d'art graphique in the Centre Pompidou, Paris. This display features her intricate drawing installations, incorporating elements like body parts, flowers, lines, grids, and abstract forms that go beyond straightforward narratives. Over her 25-year career, Bächli’s work has evolved to show greater clarity and depth, blending photography with serene Nordic landscapes. She focuses on how elements are arranged and spaced, encouraging viewers to mentally piece together the experience. In 2007, Bächli was awarded the 1er prix du Dessin contemporain by the Fondation Daniel et Florence Guerlain and the Hans-Thoma-Preis. Another show is set for 2008 at Peter Freeman Inc in New York.
