Silent book 'Undicesimo comandamento' by Calì and Carozzi lands in Italy

The silent book 'Undicesimo comandamento', created by writer Davide Calì and illustrator Tommaso Carozzi, has been published in Italy by Kite Edizioni (Padua, 2022) after previous editions in France, Mexico, and South Korea. The wordless book depicts a surreal invasion of whales floating in the sky over a contemporary city, using traditional black-and-white illustrations. The story culminates in an ecological moral: 'Non sfidare la natura' (Do not challenge nature). Calì, a Swiss-born Italian author with a global career, has published in over a dozen countries. Carozzi, a Verona-based painter, sculptor, and illustrator, makes his book debut with this work. The 44-page volume costs €18 and is praised for its visual spectacle and traditional technique in an age of digital color.
