Silence Festival turns 40 in Lovere with free performances
The Silence Festival, a community-focused performing arts event, celebrates its 40th anniversary in Lovere, a town on Lake Iseo in the province of Bergamo. Running from July 3 to 7, 2025, the festival features a mosaic of performances, street shows, animations, and social initiatives, all free of charge. It aims to use theater as a tool for encounter, reflection, and community building, blending artistic languages with urban spaces. Participants include Theatre En Vol from Sassari (founded 1989), Prestige Eventi from Ferrara, Ivan Tanteri from Teatro Immagini in Rieti, Teatro Aenigma from Urbino, and Teatro Tascabile di Bergamo (founded 1973). The festival also seeks to enhance Lovere's urban and natural landscape, integrating performances with local history.
