Sigma Festival Retrospective at CAPC Bordeaux

exhibition · 2026-04-24

Between November 14, 2013, and March 2, 2014, CAPC Bordeaux celebrated the 30-year history of the Sigma festival, which ran from 1965 to 1996 and was a groundbreaking event for the arts in Bordeaux. This festival featured a mix of artistic expressions, including dance, theater, music, and visual arts, presenting talents such as the Living Theatre, Sun Ra, Miles Davis, and Pink Floyd, among others. The late Roger Lafosse, who curated the festival, entrusted his archives to the city. The exhibition, organized by Patricia Brignone and her team, creatively used scenic designs and projections to evoke the festival’s vibrant legacy and innovations.
