Sigma and Green Wise launch camera-botanical exhibition at Milan Design Week

architecture-design · 2026-04-20

During Milan Design Week, which took place from April 20 to 26, Japanese camera maker Sigma collaborated with landscape design firm Green Wise Italy to present the exhibition 'Sigma Aizu Japan – Every Part Tells the Whole' at Green Wise's Milan showroom. The showcase, directed by Sigma product designer Ichiro Iwasaki, examines the concept of 'seeing' through the lens of camera components and botanical art installations. It includes Sigma's camera parts alongside Green Wise's 'Slow Sculpture.' Attendees have the opportunity to experiment with the Sigma BF camera. This event aligns with the opening of Sigma's new headquarters in Kawasaki, Japan, in 2022, which has been displaying cameras since 2012 and houses a collection of 4,000 photography books. Additionally, Sigma has launched the Sigma Aizu Farm to support rice farming in the Aizu area, aiming to preserve local culture and the environment.
