Sicily's :After Festival Reexamines 100 Years of Architecture
The After festival, recognized by Italy's Ministry of Culture as part of the 'Festival Architettura' initiative, is set to take place from April 22 to 29 throughout Sicily, including cities such as Palermo, Trapani, Caltanissetta, Syracuse, and Catania. This event will explore Sicilian architecture from the previous century, focusing on themes of post-war reconstruction and industrialization. Curated by a team comprising Pietro Airoldi, Lisa Andreani, Jacopo Costanzo, Zeno Franchini, Francesca Gattello, Valeria Guerrisi, and Izabela Anna Moren, the festival is organized by Fondazione Studio Rizoma. It includes guided urban walks and discussions at notable locations like Arno Brandlhuber's residence, the Tifeo Power Plant, and Palazzo Amoroso, with the journey commencing in Palermo and concluding in Catania.
