Shifting Crossroads | Beirut Contemporary exhibition in Milan explores city's cultural identity through art

There's an upcoming exhibition called Shifting Crossroads | Beirut Contemporary happening at Circolo in Milan from March 23 to July 3, 2026. It's being organized by the Saikalis Bay Foundation ETS. The show features works from various artists, such as Catherine Cattaruzza, Simone Fattal, and Mona Hatoum. Through photographs, videos, sculptures, and installations, it delves into Beirut's cultural significance as a meeting point of Eastern and Western influences, reflecting its complex history and current challenges. Despite the ongoing tensions between Israel and Lebanon, the exhibition will kick off during Milan's art week. You can visit it at Via della Spiga 48, Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 to 18:00, with Saturday appointments available. The foundation believes in the power of art to foster empathy and dialogue, showcasing Beirut's vibrant social scene.
