Shezad Dawood's 'Skin of Dreams' Retrospective at Cultural Foundation Abu Dhabi
Shezad Dawood's first mid-career retrospective, 'Skin of Dreams,' opens at Cultural Foundation Abu Dhabi from March 26 to September 13, 2026. Curated by Jessica Cerasi, the exhibition features over 40 works spanning the last 15 years, including paintings, sculptures, film installations, and virtual reality. It debuts the final two episodes of his ten-part film series 'Leviathan Cycle,' which began at the 57th Venice Biennale in 2017. The exhibition highlights Dawood's use of ralli textiles from Pakistan and his engagement with modernist architecture and ecology. A monograph published by Skira accompanies the show.
