Sheila Girling Memorial Exhibition Announced Following Painter's Death at 90

The painter Sheila Girling has died at age 90, as reported by The Art Newspaper. Known for her vibrant use of color and texture, Girling exhibited her work in both London and New York. She was a frequent participant in The Royal Academy's Summer Exhibitions. Girling was married to the late sculptor Anthony Caro, and the couple shared a studio complex in Camden, London, for many years, with her artistic practice influencing his work. Annely Juda Fine Art in London will present a memorial exhibition for Girling in September 2015.
