Shay Frisch: Modellare l'energia con campi elettrici

Shay Frisch, a graduate of the class of 1963, creates and manipulates energy through sequential assemblies of black or white electrical adapters that conduct electricity and produce electromagnetic fields. Her works, named 'Campo' followed by a number denoting the components and a letter for the color (N or B), provide an immersive experience for viewers. The light accentuates the primal and fiery nature of energy. An industrial designer with a master's degree from the Domus Academy in Milan in 1990, Frisch was introduced to the art world by gallerist Plinio De Martiis of Galleria La Tartaruga in Rome. In 2017, her exhibition 'Connessioni luminose' at Galleria San Fedele in Milan featured 37,586 modular elements with an ecumenical theme. That same year, she planned exhibitions at the MAC in Santiago, the Museo de Arte Contemporanea in Lima, the Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Curitiba (with Davide Boriani), ZAC in Palermo, and Museo Riso.
