Sharon Johnston, Kulapat Yantrasast join Dezeen Awards 2026 jury
Architects Sharon Johnston, Kulapat Yantrasast, Ben Cross, and designer Alexie Sommer have been named judges for the Dezeen Awards 2026, which seek the world's best architecture, interiors, and design. Johnston, a founding partner of Los Angeles-based Johnston Marklee, will judge architecture entries; her firm recently completed a green-metal tower in Phoenix and a lakeside guesthouse in Upstate New York. Yantrasast, founder of WHY Architecture, is known for cultural projects including the Michael C Rockefeller Wing overhaul at The Met and an immersive tent for the first Frieze Los Angeles. Cross, co-founder of London-based development firm More, brings expertise in commercial refurbishments. Sommer, co-founder of climate consultancy Urge Collective and organizer of the Design Declares initiative, will judge design entries. Entries close at 23:59 London time on 27 May 2026. The awards are in partnership with Trimble.
