The Sharjah Art Foundation has announced the 2027 Sharjah Biennial, curated by Angela Harutyunyan and Paula Nascimento, under the title What remains, sits restive. Nascimento's section brings together 54 participants using infrastructure as a method to examine space, place, and memory; artists include António Ole, Grada Kilomba, Ibrahim Mahama, Josèfa Ntjam, Oscar Murillo, and Zina Saro-Wiwa. The biennial runs from 21 January to 13 June 2027.
