Sharjah Art Foundation's 'In the eyes of our present, we hear Palestine' Exhibition

Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) presents 'In the eyes of our present, we hear Palestine,' a collection exhibition at the Arts Palace and Old Al Dhaid Clinic in Al Dhaid, running until April 14, 2024. The show features over 60 works from SAF's collection, including archival and documentary art that counters Israeli narratives about the war on Palestine. A reading room offers resources like Edward Said's 'The Question of Palestine' and works by Rashid Khalidi, Noam Chomsky, and Walid Khalidi. Key artworks include Abdul Hay Mosallam Zarara's 30 bas-reliefs, Simone Fattal's 'The Rain Forever will be made of Bullets,' Ayreen Anastas and Rene Gabri's 'What Everybody Knows,' Jumana Manna and Sille Storihle's 'The Goodness Regime,' Tarek Al Ghoussein's 'Self-Portrait,' Khalil Rabah's 'Palestine after Palestine,' and Basma Alsharif's 'The Story of Milk and Honey.' The exhibition joins Palestinian journalists and social media reporters in reclaiming narrative control.
