Sharjah Architecture Triennial 2026 theme revealed, Noguchi Museum names new curator, London YDP opens Duan Jianyu show.

The third edition of the Sharjah Architecture Triennial is set to commence in November 2026, under the theme 'Architecture Otherwise: Building Civic Infrastructure for Collective Futures,' with Vyjayanthi Rao as curator and Tau Tavengwa as associate curator. The Noguchi Museum has appointed Hitomi Iwasaki as head curator and director of curatorial affairs starting September 2025, alongside new hires Mack Cole-Edelsack as director of operations and Tia Williams as director of finance in April. YDP, a contemporary art venue in London, will debut on October 4, showcasing Duan Jianyu's solo exhibition 'Yúqiáo,' featuring 20 new paintings, sculptures, and archival materials. Additionally, Simon and Catriona Mordant donated 25 artworks, including pieces by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Janet Laurence, and Ian Abdulla, to Newcastle Art Gallery, which will preview its expansion on September 26, 2026. Istanbul's Salt granted EUR 20,000 each to Güneş Terkol and Onur Gökmen for their projects, while Bangkok artist Harit Srikhao will have a residency at YDP from September to November 2025.
