Sharjah Architecture Triennial 2023 Announces 29 Participants
The 2023 edition of the Sharjah Architecture Triennial (SAT), entitled 'The Beauty of Impermanence: An Architecture of Adaptability,' is curated by Tosin Oshinowo and will present the work of 29 architects and designers hailing from 25 nations, emphasizing design innovations from the Global South. Venues for the exhibits include Al Jubail Vegetable Market and Al Qasimiyah School throughout Sharjah. Launched in 2018, this triennial highlights architectural practices from West Asia, South Asia, and Africa. Prominent contributors include Hive Earth, Sumaya Dabbagh, and DAAR, with standout projects such as ETA'DAN, EARTH TO EARTH, and the Museum of Artifice. The event is scheduled to commence in November 2023.
