Shared Space: Climate-Responsive Pavilion by 4site Architects

4site Architects, led by Chandrakant S Kanthgavi, has designed Shared Space, a 6,500 ft² climate-responsive gathering pavilion set within a 6+ acre landscape in India. The project, slated for completion in 2026, redefines hospitality by focusing on experiential programming rather than traditional rooms. The large-span structure serves as a continuous inhabitable layer for retreats, wellness workshops, community dining, cultural events, and seasonal activations. The design team includes Aarushi, Sivaprasad S, and Chandrakant S Kanthgavi, with structural engineering by Space Structures and electrical work by Diwan Consultants. Photographs by Ekansh Goel document the project. The pavilion uses materials from manufacturers such as Anchor by Panasonic, Saint Gobain Glass, and Kajaria, among others.
