Shakti Prana luxury lodge redefines slow travel in India's remote Himalayas
So, there's this amazing new project called Shakti Prana, launched by Jamshyd Sethna’s Shakti Himalaya after over two decades in existence. It's located in Kumaon, Uttarakhand, and they actually built it using stones from their old lodge, Shakti 360 Leti, which they dismantled in March 2024 and carried up a steep path by mules for 2,700 feet! Designed by Sam Barclay from Case Designs, it has seven suites with huge windows that look out at the breathtaking Nanda Devi and Panchachuli mountains. The lodge runs entirely on solar power and uses spring water. Chef Yeshi Lama offers a mix of local Kumaoni dishes and other favorites. They also have some great walking trails available from early October to late April. Oh, and the limited mobile signal really helps you disconnect and enjoy nature! It's located at Shakti Kumaon, Kasar Devi, Uttarakhand 263601, India.
