The performance aims to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which seeks to raise $100 million by the end of the tournament for children's education and sports access. Shakira's new single "Dai Dai" with Burna Boy will serve as the official anthem of the fund, with royalties donated to the cause. Sony Music will match the first $250,000 raised. Additionally, Shakira will donate $1 per ticket from her upcoming "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour" to the fund. The announcement was made at Global Citizen NOW in New York City. Shakira recently performed to over 2 million people on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro as part of the Todo Mundo No Rio concert, generating an estimated $800 million in local economic impact and a 123% increase in travel bookings. Her recent tour was named the highest-grossing Hispanic tour of all time by Billboard, earning $421.6 million across 82 stadium shows with 3.3 million attendees. Burna Boy, a leading African artist, continues to bridge music, sport, and culture globally. Shakira will also embark on a limited US tour this summer and an 11-date European stadium residency in Madrid starting October, with over 500,000 tickets sold.
