Shakira Draws Over 2 Million to Free Copacabana Concert in Rio

Shakira performed before a crowd of over 2 million people at the Todo Mundo No Rio 2026 concert on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday. The free show featured a 1,500-drone display by Studio Drift, the largest drone show ever for a concert audience. Shakira wore four Etro outfits, including a silk jumpsuit with tropical paisley pattern and Swarovski crystals in Brazilian flag colors, and a second look with over 150,000 Swarovski crystals in sapphire, indigo, and deep blue tones. She also wore designs by Brazilian creators Victor Hugo Mattos, HISHA, and Dario Mittman. Guest stars included Anitta for the debut of their new single 'Choka Choka', Caetano Veloso for 'O Leãozinho', Maria Bethânia Veloso and Unidos da Tijuca for 'O Que É, O Que É', Mare Dance for 'Waka Waka', and Ivete Sangalo for 'País Tropical'. The setlist spanned her career with hits like 'Hips Don't Lie', 'La Tortura', and 'La Bicicleta'. Shakira addressed the crowd in Portuguese. Last month, she announced limited US dates for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour, and recently revealed an 11-concert residency at a 50,000-seat stadium built for her in Madrid, named 'Shakira Stadium', with over 500,000 tickets already sold.
