Sguardi di intesa: Women Photographers in Fashion at Centro Saint-Bénin

The Centro Saint-Bénin in Aosta hosts 'Sguardi di intesa. La moda fotografata dalle donne', the first institutional exhibition in Italy surveying fashion photography by women, from the 20th century to today. Curated by Angela Madesani, the show runs from March 23 to September 22, 2024, featuring nearly all vintage materials (about 80% original prints). The focus is on images from the 1960s and 1970s, where photographers explored and critiqued women's labor. Sections range from pioneers like Louise Dahl-Wolfe (Harper's Bazaar covers) and Lee Miller to contemporaries like Brigitte Niedermair, who recently shot campaigns for Dior.
