Seven Finalists Announced for 2022 EU Mies van der Rohe Award
The finalists for the 2022 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture, also known as the Mies van der Rohe Award, have been narrowed down from 40 to just seven. Noteworthy entries include the Enrico Fermi School in Turin, designed by BDR bureau, and the Z33 House for Contemporary Art in Hasselt by Francesca Torzo, competing in different categories. Other finalists in the Architecture category are Grafton Architects' Town House in London, 85 social housing units in Cornellà de Llobregat by peris+toral.arquitectes, Frizz23 in Berlin by Deadline, and La Ferme du Rail in Paris by Grand Huit. The Emerging Architecture category also showcases La Borda in Barcelona. The jury, led by Tatiana Bilbao, will visit these sites in March, with winners announced in late April and the award ceremony on May 12, 2022, in Barcelona.
