architecture-design · 2026-08-03

Set Architects, led by principals Onorato di Manno and Andrea Tanci, has completed the renovation of an early 20th-century apartment in Rome's Nomentano district. The project, titled 'Casa con Mobiliario Reflectante' (House with Reflective Furniture), reinterprets the traditional layout through a contemporary lens. The design team included Maria Lidia Tamburro, with engineering consultation by Ing. Daniele Sansoni. The renovation covers 200 square meters and features furniture and materials from suppliers such as Flos, Abet Laminati MEG, Bannach, Cassina, and Foglie d'oro. Photographs of the project were taken by Federico Farinatti. The project was curated by Nina Vuga and is categorized under remodeling, renovation, and apartment interiors. The apartment, dating from the early 1900s, has been updated to meet modern living standards while preserving its historical character. The use of reflective furniture adds a contemporary aesthetic, creating a dialogue between old and new. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
