Serra Yentürk Named Third Director of SAHA Association
Serra Yentürk has been named the new director of SAHA, the Istanbul-based organization dedicated to promoting Turkish contemporary art. Having acted as the interim director since February 2024, she takes over from Çelenk Bafra. Yentürk previously held the position of studio coordinator at SAHA, overseeing international residency programs from 2022 to 2024. Her background includes roles at Galeri Nev Istanbul and as an editor for Borusan Contemporary, along with independent editorial and curatorial experiences in Paris. Füsun Eczacıbaşı, the founding chairperson of SAHA, voiced her enthusiasm, emphasizing Yentürk's commitment to engaging with the art community to explore new ideas. Since its inception in 2011, SAHA has aided 650 creatives and initiatives in 46 countries across more than 220 museums, biennales, and non-profit organizations.
