exhibition · 2026-08-12

The Serpentine has revealed that it will host the inaugural UK institutional exhibition of Justin Caguiat's new and recent works, titled 'Change Ringing'. This exhibition is set to take place at Serpentine South from 8 October 2026 until 10 January 2027. It will feature a diverse array of mediums, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, sound, and film. Caguiat’s approach extends beyond the gallery’s interior, utilizing the architecture of Serpentine South to showcase his art. His pieces, made with heat-responsive pigment, will shift in color and form based on environmental conditions like temperature and light. In addition to canvases and prints, the exhibition will present bronze bells shaped like various flowers and seeds, accompanied by a score.
