Serena Vestrucci's 'Ortica' Installation at Marselleria, Milan

exhibition · 2026-05-05

In the basement of a private space on Via Rezia in Milan, Serena Vestrucci (born 1986) presents 'Ortica', an installation comprising three distinct works. Above the entrance, the sound piece 'Il suono della pioggia quando cade in un unico punto' immerses visitors in accelerated, concentrated dripping on a single surface, distorting the perception of water. At the room's center, another dripping of tears, embroidered on linen handkerchiefs, spells out the word 'LOST', scattered letter by letter across four groups of threads. Finally, the video projection 'Chi cammina sulla neve fresca senza voltarsi non lascia impronte' recalls a performance during the opening, highlighting the circularity of rewriting. The show is curated by Paola Tognon and runs until July 29, 2016 at MARSÈLLERIA.
