September 2018 Art Exhibitions: Conspiracy Theories, Secret Traditions, and Border Imaginations
From September 18 to January 6, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York showcases 'Everything Is Connected: Art and Conspiracy,' which includes 70 pieces by 30 artists, such as Hans Haacke and Cady Noland, examining power dynamics from 1969 to 2016. Meanwhile, Barcelona's Centre de Cultura Contemporània features 'Black Light: Secret Traditions in Art Since the 1950s' until October 21, displaying 350 works by artists including Antoni Tàpies and Joan Jonas. In Berlin, the Max Hetzler gallery is hosting 'True Stories: A Show Related to an Era – The Eighties' from September 14 to October 27, featuring 37 artists. Additionally, the 12th Gwangju Biennale runs from September 7 to November 11 with 153 artists, and Camden Arts Centre in London will present Amy Sillman's exhibition from September 28 to January 6.
