Seoul Art Scene Guide Features Artists, Gallerists, and Hidden Gems
The September 2025 issue of ArtReview features a Korea Supplement, produced with the support of Korea Arts Management Service, which offers insights into Seoul's vibrant art landscape through discussions with seven influential individuals. Among those highlighted are self-taught artist Doowon Lee, who recently showcased work at ACA Galleries in New York, and installation artist SungHong Min, whose solo exhibition at gallerychosun runs until 26 October. Other contributors include painters Heejoon Lee, gallerists Seung Jin Chung (G Gallery, featuring Hannah Woo until 27 September), Yae-Inn Juen (oaoa, displaying Jimin Lim until 4 October), Wonjoon Lee (Vohm Gallery, showcasing Hana Kim until 12 October), and Cho Jieun from ikkibawiKrrr. They provide personal tips for exploring new art, dining, and inspiration throughout Seoul, with notable locations such as Sewoon Sangga, Euljiro, and the Han River. The guide also emphasizes the city’s efficiency, convenience stores, and charming hidden alleys in Seochon, Hyehwa-dong, and Bulgwang-dong.
