Senza mai sfiorire: Italian sculpture survey at Palazzo Collicola, Spoleto
The exhibition titled 'Senza mai sfiorire. Densità e leggerezza nella scultura italiana contemporanea,' curated by Saverio Verini, has launched at Palazzo Collicola in Spoleto, succeeding the 2023 group exhibition 'La sostanza agitata.' This showcase highlights artists born in the 1970s, utilizing the noble floor adorned with 18th-century furnishings and frescoes. Continuing the tradition of 'Sculture nella città' (1962), it features twelve artists, each presenting a single piece, such as Fabrizio Prevedello's 'Rosone (186)' (2017), Giovanni Kronenberg's 'Senza titolo' (2022), and Patrick Tuttofuoco's neon work 'Space Time (Honolulu)' (2019). The exhibition seeks to infuse Spoleto with contemporary vibrancy, resonating with Giancarlo Menotti's vision for the Festival dei Due Mondi from the 1950s.
