Selgascano's Sky-K Towers Rise in Durrës, Albania

architecture-design · 2026-05-11

Spanish architecture firm Selgascano, in collaboration with FRPO Rodríguez & Oriol, has designed Sky-K, a pair of slender residential towers in Durrës, Albania. The project rises behind Rruga Taulantia, a seaside street recently transformed into a linear park along the Adriatic coast. The towers are clad in red and yellow undulating concrete, described by the architects as chimney-like forms. The building is lifted on six concrete columns above a Mediterranean garden, minimizing its footprint and preserving views. Each tower features rounded terrace openings that provide cross-ventilation and panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea, the port of Durrës, and the surrounding hills. The corrugated facade creates a strong vertical rhythm, with balconies set within the depth of the colored concrete skin. The project is expected to complete in 2027. Visualizations are by Playtime.
