Seletti turns Giacomo Giannini's aerial photos into limited-edition rugs

exhibition · 2026-05-20

Italian design brand Seletti has launched a rug collection titled 'Walking into an image', featuring three aerial photographs by Giacomo Giannini. The images, taken between 1985 and 1992 across Italy, were selected from Giannini's archive in collaboration with gallerist Paola Sosio. The rugs, each 280cm x 200cm, are part of a limited edition of 30 numbered pieces. They were premiered at Turin photography exhibition 'The Phair' in May 2026. The collection transforms Giannini's photographs—'Holiday at the Seaside #18', 'Sfasciacarrozze', and 'Basket'—into immersive floor surfaces that explore human presence and spatial transformation.
