Second edition of Chambres exhibition at mH Florence & Spa hotel

The second edition of Chambres, a contemporary art exhibition curated by Pantani – Surace (Lia Pantani and Giovanni Surace) and Paolo Parisi, opens at the mH Florence & Spa hotel in Florence from November 28, 2024, to May 30, 2025. The show features works by emerging artists from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, including Maura Bazzi, Marcela Castañeda Florián, Giovanni Ceruti, Pietro Desirò, Marta Fumanti, Yasmine Kachni, Maddalena Lotti, Ramona Marano, and Gianluca Garu Paionni. Their pieces address themes such as global violence, Colombian peripheries, childhood nostalgia, nature fragments, human-nature balance, presence and absence, urban commodification, surreal scenarios, climate change, and personal relationships. Hotel director Irene Vezzosi announced a new open call for a permanent outdoor artwork on Via Alamanni, to be selected by a jury of curators, hotel ownership, and an external expert. The call will be published by end of 2024, with the winning piece installed by September 2025. Artists from both editions and selected students from Italian academies are invited to compete.
