Second edition of Buona Fortuna Ribelli festival brings contemporary art to Langhe region

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The second edition of Buona Fortuna Ribelli, a contemporary art festival curated by Lunetta11 gallery, opens on September 9 across the Langhe region in collaboration with the municipalities of Dogliani, Mombarcaro, and San Benedetto Belbo. The festival features six environmental exhibitions by five young artists plus a special guest, British artist David Tremlett. Artists include Francesco Maluta (born 1983, Lovere), presenting his first solo show in the Langhe at the Censa museum in San Benedetto Belbo; Solomostry (born 1988, Milan), moving from Mombarcaro to the streets of San Benedetto Belbo; Simone Settimo (born 1978, Padua), exhibiting at the gallery in Borgata Lunetta; Guendalina Urbani (born 1992, Rome), showing her Evasioni series at the Cappella di San Rocco in Mombarcaro; and Olivero Fiorenzi (born 1992, Osimo), in the meadows of Borgata Lunetta. David Tremlett (born 1945, St. Austell, Cornwall) created a site-specific wall drawing on the Cappella della Sacra Famiglia in Dogliani, using bare hands and graphite grease to split the chapel with a black monolith. The work honors his late friend, composer and musician Ezio Bosso, incorporating a 1960s transistor radio playing Bosso's piece Rain in your Black Eyes. The festival runs until November. Gallery directors Claudia Zunino and Francesco Pistoi, who founded Lunetta11 in 2019, emphasize their commitment to bringing young international and Italian artists to the region through residencies and exhibitions.
