Second Edition of Architecture & the Media Conference Goes Digital

The European Conference on Architecture & the Media, organized by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe and Labóh, returns for its second edition from May 11 to 14, 2020. This year, the event will be held online due to the pandemic, making it more accessible to a global audience. The conference focuses on the relationship between architecture and audiovisual media, including TV, radio, video, and new digital platforms. Speakers include Oliver Wainwright (The Guardian), Iwan Baan, Marco Brizzi (The Architecture Player), and others. The program features 8 presentations, 2 roundtables, and a workshop. Topics include the role of images in architectural storytelling, the challenges of gaining visibility for architecture in broadcast media, and how awards can increase public interest. The conference is part of the dissemination program of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award, supported by Creative Europe.
