The 2025 Sea Art Festival, titled Undercurrents: Waves Walking on the Water, is set for September 27 to November 2 at Dadaepo Beach in Busan. Co-artistic directors Keumhwa Kim and Bernard Vienat are at the helm this year. Kim, who founded Keum Art Projects, focuses on post-Anthropocene themes, while Vienat manages the (re)connecting.earth biennial. Since starting in 1987, the festival has shifted venues and is returning to Dadaepo to showcase outdoor artworks. With 22 artists, including Diana Lelonek and Seba Calfuqueo, the festival will tackle issues of ecological awareness and gentrification, featuring discussions with local journalists and activists.
