Sculpture Garden returns to Geneva with international artists

The Sculpture Garden, Geneva Biennale, returns for its summer 2020 edition, running until September 26. Curated by Balthazar Lovay, former director of Fri Art Kunsthalle in Fribourg, the exhibition is organized by artgenève in collaboration with MAMCO (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Geneva) and the City of Geneva. It takes place across three central locations: Parc des Eaux-Vives, Parc La Grange, and Quai Gustave-Ador, with special projects on Ile Rousseau and at Hotel La Réserve Geneva. Alongside works by established artists such as Neïl Beloufa, Lynda Benglis, Tracey Emin, and Olivier Mosset, the biennial emphasizes emerging talent, including students from the Cantonal Art School of Lausanne (ECAL). Italian artists Andrea Branzi (born 1938, Florence) and Francesco Vezzoli (born 1971, Brescia) contribute site-specific works. The program features after-work meetings, cocktail hours, conferences with art world figures, and performance evenings, plus a mediation service to engage diverse audiences.
