School of Vision launches video series 'L'arte anticipa il futuro' with Tomás Saraceno
School of Vision, in collaboration with ENI and ROAD, has launched a 14-episode video series titled 'L'arte anticipa il futuro' on Artribune, publishing every two weeks on Mondays. The series explores how contemporary artists anticipate future developments in mobility, energy, cities, and sustainability. Each episode is introduced by Marco Bassan, founder of Spazio Taverna and scientific director of School of Vision. The first episode features Tomás Saraceno (born 1973, Argentina), whose practice spans art, architecture, ecology, science, and cosmology. Saraceno's project Aerocene, developed over a decade, imagines a new relationship between movement, energy, and the atmosphere through aerosol sculptures, experimental flights, and collective practices. The project proposes mobility based on lightness, solar energy, and collaboration with air currents, framing the future of mobility as a cultural issue. Saraceno collaborates with scientists from MIT and NASA to realize his visions.
