Schloss Hollenegg's 'Element: Metal' Exhibition Features 18 Designers in Austrian Castle
The non-profit cultural group Schloss Hollenegg for Design has opened its annual exhibition, 'Element: Metal,' at Schloss Hollenegg Castle in Austria. This showcase will run until May 31, 2026. Curated by Alice Stori Liechtenstein, it displays modern metal works from 18 artists, alongside historical pieces from the castle's collection. Twelve artists created their works during summer and autumn 2025 residencies at the castle. Highlights include Max Lamb's 'Prøve' light, Philippe Malouin's 'T-Board' shelving, and Sabine Marcelis' 'Orbit' light, all made with Hydro's Circal 100R recycled aluminium. The exhibition also features contributions from Junko Mori, Elliott Hundley, and others. For the first time, students from the University of Applied Arts Vienna created unique installations. Stori Liechtenstein founded the castle project in 2015; it has been in her husband's family for 200 years.
