Scarlet Page's Archive Reveals Iconic Music Photography

Scarlet Page, celebrated for her close-up photographs of musicians taken during tours and behind the scenes, is currently sorting her vast archive in her home studio near London. As she organizes decades of negatives alphabetically, she has unearthed overlooked treasures, such as early negatives of the White Stripes and a live shoot of Eminem. A striking portrait of Brian Molko from Placebo, featuring angel wings, was recently featured on a vinyl picture disc to commemorate the band's 30th anniversary and is housed in the National Portrait Gallery. Additionally, Page captured Placebo at the Royal Albert Hall's Teenage Cancer Trust shows and in Switzerland. During lockdown, she undertook a personal project photographing children with their comfort toys, which she revisited five years later. An ambassador for the Museum of Youth Culture in Camden, she began with a Nikon FM2 and now utilizes two Nikon Z8 bodies, although she recently returned to film, taking the FM2 on a trip to Margate.
