Scaramouche Gallery's Olympic-Themed Group Show in Milan

Scaramouche Gallery in Milan presents 'Sharing the Flame,' a group exhibition curated by Daniele Ugolini, running parallel to the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The show features over a dozen international artists, with works arranged in three thematic sections across the gallery's spaces. The first room focuses on minimalism, with pieces by Enzo Fiore (a reinterpretation of Leonardo's Virgin of the Rocks using dried flowers and insects), Anselm Kiefer (Euphrat), Lucio Fontana (Concetto Spaziale), Mario Ceroli (Mappa Cubo), and Andy Warhol. The other two rooms form a contemporary painting gallery, including works by Bruno Ceccobelli (featuring skis and rackets), Yayoi Kusama, Alighiero Boetti, Wolfgang Laib (a pollen-covered panel), and sculptures by Balkenhol (a contemporary Laocoön) and Vittorio Corsini (a glass house filled with lilac pigment powder). The exhibition aims to highlight each artist's unique voice while fostering a visual competition, with no single winner. The gallery moved from New York to Milan just over a year ago, and its American influence is evident in the selection and presentation of artists.
