Savile Row Tailor Hattie Glendenning Designs Wedding Suits for Herself and Her Bridal Party

London-based tailor Hattie Glendenning, founder of HAX on Savile Row, created bespoke wedding attire for herself, her groom, and their entire bridal party. The wedding took place at Chelsea Physic Garden in London, followed by a reception in a friend's renovated gymnasium. Glendenning, whose clients include Cynthia Erivo, Naomi Ackie, and Bill Nighy, designed a high-necked jacket with 48 vintage glass buttons that opened to expose her midriff, paired with a flowing pleated cream silk skirt. The bridesmaids each chose their favorite color in 12 ½ oz linen, with styles ranging from a three-piece suit to a Jackie O-style minidress. The groom, Harry, wore a dark brown 10oz tropical wool double-breasted suit inspired by a photo of Hattie's grandfather. The couple met in 2020 when Harry flew to New York to see her, and they quarantined together during the pandemic. The wedding nearly faced disaster when the original venue fell through, but a friend offered a derelict gymnasium that was cleared and transformed. The ceremony was officiated by childhood friend Celeste Sykes, who wore a custom HAX opera coat. Guests traveled on Routemaster buses, and the reception featured a soul band and DJs, with the dance floor full until the final song, Cher's "Believe."
